  • The CompTIA A+ certification is an entry-level IT certification that validates an individual’s knowledge and skills in computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting.
  • It is divided into two exams: CompTIA A+ Core 1 and CompTIA A+ Core 2
    • Duration: 90 minutes per exam
    • Number of questions: Maximum of 90 per exam
    • Format: Multiple choice and performance-based questions
    • Passing score: 675 for Core 1 and 700 for Core 2 (on a scale of 100-900)
    • Topics covered: Hardware, networking, mobile devices, virtualization, cloud computing, hardware and network troubleshooting, operating systems, security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
  • Exam fees are not included in the course fee.

 

Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) information:

  • A learning assumption of this qualification is foundational skills in English and Mathematics at NQF level 3. Further learning assumed is the ability to use a personal computer competently.
